Last week when the model didn't show up the prof gave us homework: sketch faces. These are a couple I did from a Saks catalog (thanks to Mary who saves them for me!)

Cool. Ya know, you could probably make some quick cash by doing 5 min sketchs of students on campus.

Yeah, I'm with Whit and Robbie on this one...hello CASH!!! But maybe not on campus...maybe downtown. More money there I think. Here in Santa Cruz, students come downtown ALL THE TIME to make cash with their Art. Usually its music...but there's a little bit of everything down here.

I like the faces...it's different than I what I normally see here.

When you're in class doing body sketches, are you supposed to focus solely on the figure and not anything specific about it?

I'm just fascinated with this!

It's great!!

PS Did you ever find your missing sketch??

Our prof is very open about what we do...he doesn't even come around while we're drawing like profs usually do (unless we ask for advice or sth.) So basically we are free to focus on anything we want, use whatever media (drawing media-not paint), etc., etc.

Okay, maybe when I'm in Cincinnati I'll be a dork :-)

More to come SOON!!!
